Eoophyla cameroonensis sp. n.
Type locality: Cameroon, Lolodorf.
Imago (Fig. 48): Wingspan 19mm. Head pale ochreous. Thorax and abdomen ochreous. Forewing ochreous white; a small fuscous spot on costa at halfway; a partial oblique yellow postmedian fascia in middle of wing; a fuscous strigula from costa towards termen followed by white; terminal area yellow bounded on the inside by a fine fuscous line, a series of small black dots along the termen; a leaden-metallic triangular tornal spot. Hindwing basally white; a yellow outwardly curved median fascia; a broad white area before eyespots with fuscous scaling on the inside, especially near costa, and a double subterminal fuscous line only present near the apex; three black eyespots, the first with silver-grey scales near the inner edge, second with a smaller patch of silver-grey scales on the inner side, the third divided by a yellow line near termen above which is a silver-grey dash; apex yellow.
Male genitalia: unknown.
Female genitalia (Fig. 158): Ostium wide, antrum very long; corpus bursae beginning immediately after the colliculum, divided into two lobes: a lateral lobe which is membranous, spherical, bearing a pair of signa comprising sclerotised plates, each of which has a serrate row of spines near the inner edge and a scattering of short spines outwardly; the second lobe is ovoid, about twice as long as the first, without signa; near the junction of the two is an elongate patch of spines which bends towards the lateral lobe.
Tympanal organs: Venulae long and almost straight, tympanum projecting anteriorly.
Diagnosis: Distinguished from other species in the genus by the broad white space, above the terminal eyespots of the hindwing, and by the distinctive shape of the female genitalia.
Biology: Unknown.
Distribution: Known only from lowland Cameroon.
Material examined: Holotype female bearing a red-circled holotype label, a label with the date 24.2.35, a label | Kamerun, Lolodorf| L. Conradt| an acquistion label and a label reading Eoophyla cameroonensis , Holotype, det. D.J.L.Agassiz 2004 ( BMNH). 3 paratypes ♀ “ CAMEROON, Lok , 1949– 28/11 (Despierre), 20/1 & 21/11, (R.F.
