NEOTYPE. ZFMK 44216 About ZFMK ; Lectotype BMNH 1946.8 .14.55 (U. a. microlepis ); both designated by Wilms & Böhme (2000) .
TYPE LOCALITY. Suez, Egypt.
DISTRIBUTION. Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Arabian Peninsula, Iraq, and Iran.
DISTRIBUTION IN IRAN. Fig. 147 View FIGURES 146–151. 146 . Known only from Khuzestan and Bushehr Prov. and from islands in the Persian Gulf .
HABITAT. Hard soils in open flatland areas with very sparse vegetation usually represented by individual Acacia shrubs or trees.
REMARKS. The Iranian populations are assigned to the subspecies U. a. microlepis Blanford (type locality: Basrah , Iraq) .
