Acompomintho lobata Villeneuve, 1927: 223 . Syntypes: II. 1909, H. Sauter leg. (Deutsches Entomologisches Institut, Müncheberg, Germany ( DEI); not examined). Type locality : Taiwan (Tainan) .

Diagnosis. Body length: 3.0– 3.9 mm. Wing length: 2.5–3.2 mm. Body ( Fig. 27 ) slightly brownish black. Scutum entirely with weak gray pruinosity. Wing ( Fig. 31 ) grayish hyaline in male; wing veins brown; cell r4+5 petiolate, vein M joining vein R4+5 nearly at a right angle. Abdomen with distinct pruinosity on proximal portion of tergites 3–5, visible in posterior, dorsal, and lateral views; sternite 5 ( Fig. 1 ) bilobed posteriorly, lobes longer than basal part. Male terminalia ( Figs 2–7 ): surstylus wide in basal 1/3 and mostly straight in dorsal view, longer than cercus, and weakly curved ventrally in lateral view; cercus widened at base, gradually narrowing to apex; outer margin of cercus straight in dorsal view; bacilliform sclerites broad, extending anteriorly, fused in middle part; pregonite long, posterior end extending to basal half of phallus, apex curved ventrolaterally and weakly bent anteriorly; postgonite blade-shaped, narrowing and curved ventrally near apex, and with a long seta at apical 1/3; epiphallus finger-shaped in lateral view and flattened from side to side, about as wide as widest part of postgonite, rounded at apex; distiphallus with extensions of dorsal sclerite straight at apex; ejaculatory apodeme distinctly widened at apex.

Distribution. Japan (Ryukyu Islands), Taiwan, North Korea, South Korea ( Villeneuve 1927; Pape & Kurahashi 1994; Draber-Mońko 2007).

Host(s). Unknown.

Remarks. Pape & Kurahashi (1994) recorded this species from Ishigaki Island. Here we present additional records from the islands of Okinawa, Iriomote, Hateruma, and Yonaguni ( Fig. 35 ). Draber-Mońko (2007) recorded A. lobata from North Korea for the first time. This species is similar to the following species but can be differentiated from it by the smaller size, wing vein M joining vein R4+5 nearly at a right angle, and the distinct pruinosity on the abdomen, visible also in lateral view.
