Type:—“Illustration” Klotzsch in Bot. Ergebn. Reise Waldemar [Klotzsch & Garcke]: pl. 59. 1862 (lectotype, designated here).
Notes:— Klotzsch (1862) described Pedicularis macrantha based on the collection of Dr. Hoffmeister from Himalaya . Klotzsch’s types are known to be held at B, but after contacting the curator of B herbarium, no specimen of Hoffmeister from Himalaya for the name P. macrantha Klotzsch could be traced. Therefore, the plate 59 provided by Klotzsch in protologue is the only remaining original material and is chosen here as the lectotype.
