Eupithecia emittens Inoue, 1996 View in CoL , Transactions of the Lepidopterological Society of Japan 47 (4): 241, figs 5, 6, 10, 13. Holotype ♂ (coll. H. Inoue in BMNH, examined), [ Pakistan]: Baltistan, Route de Shigar, 17 km Nord de Skardu (synonymised in Mironov & Galsworthy, 2013).
Misidentification: Eupithecia unedonata View in CoL f. famelica Dietze, 1910 (1♀ paralectotype in coll. K. Dietze in MNHU).
A bivoltine Central Asian species which occurs from Iran and Turkmenistan in the west through Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Pakistan and Kazakhstan to north western China (Xinjiang) in the east. It was recorded for Mongolia by Dietze (1913) and subsequently by Viidalepp (1975) on the basis of a single very worn female. Mongolia (aimags): Bayan-Khongor, Govi-Altai, Khovd, Umnugovi, Uvurkhangai.
