Eupithecia lepsaria Staudinger, 1882 , Stettiner Entomologische Zeitung 43 (1–3): 74. Syntypes 2 ♂ (coll. O. Staudinger in MNHU, examined), [ Kazakhstan]: Lepsa (treated as subsp. of E. vulgata in Mironov, 1989a).
This species, usually very variable and common in Europe, is very rare in the east of its distribution area including Mongolia. It is distributed to the Russian Far East (Priamurje) in the east, but was recorded also for Korea by Vojnits & de Laever (1978). Mongolia: Zavkhan aimag.
