Diagnosis. Female: mandibles yellowish-brown with a large tooth at apex and with a row of small teeth above large tooth ( Fig. 111 View FIGURES 103–112 ); flagellum dark brown, 1.1× as long as width of mesoscutum, F4 1.5× as long as wide, apex of clava pointed ( Figs 14 View FIGURES 13–18 , 65 View FIGURES 65–70 ); frons between scrobes and eyes and vertex with weak reticulation ( Figs 89 View FIGURES 84–91 , 106 View FIGURES 103–112 ); occipital margin with a sharp carina throughout ( Fig. 89 View FIGURES 84–91 ); mesoscutum and mesoscutellum with same colour and reticulation ( Fig. 37 View FIGURES 37–43 ); mesoscutellum convex; dorsellum flat, smooth and shiny, posterior margin evenly rounded with small dents; fore wing with 4–5 setae in apico-dorsal part of costal cell, completely hyaline ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 13–18 ); fore coxa yellowish-white with base brown, mid coxa yellowish-white ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 13–18 ); gaster ( Fig. 37 View FIGURES 37–43 ) 2.0× as long as wide; Gt 1 0.4× as long as length of gaster, dorsal surface smooth and shiny, posterior margin curved slightly forwards; Gt 6 0.2× as long as length of gaster with anterior part 2.0× as wide as width of posterior part, posterior margin straight with edge blunt. Description (female holotype). Length 1.6 mm. Frons and vertex with weak reticulation and shiny, scrobes smooth, frons with ±evenly scattered setae between scrobes and eyes. Mandibles with a large tooth at apex and with a row of small teeth above large tooth. Occipital margin with a sharp carina throughout. Dorsellum flat, smooth and shiny, posterior margin evenly rounded with small dents. Propodeal callus with six setae. Fore wing with five setae on dorsal surface of submarginal vein; with 16 admarginal setae; costal cell with 20 setae on ventral surface, in two rows, apico-dorsal margin with four setae; speculum small and closed below. Gaster long ovate; Gt 1 smooth and shiny, remaining tergites with weak reticulation; Gt 1 with posterior margin curved slightly forwards, Gt 6 with posterior margin straight.

Colour. Frons golden-green, vertex metallic bluish-green. Mandibles yellowish-brown. Antennae with scape and pedicel yellowish-brown, flagellum dark brown. Mesosoma golden-green. Legs with fore coxa yellowish-white with base brown, mid coxa yellowish-white, hind coxa black with metallic tinges; trochanters yellowish-white; femora, tibiae and tarsi yellowish-brown. Gaster with Gt 1 metallic blue, remaining tergites golden-purple.

Variation. Length of body 1.2–1.7 mm. Costal cell with 4–5 setae in apico-dorsal part. Propodeal callus with 6–7 setae.

Male. Length 0.9–1.3 mm. Mesoscutum and mesoscutellum metallic purple. Fore and hind coxae dark brown. Gt 1-2 yellowish-white to yellowish-brown with lateral margins dark brown, Gt 2 also with posterior margin dark brown. Otherwise as in female.

Etymology. From the Greek phalaros = having a white patch, referring to the mediobasal pale patch on male gaster.
