Usually perennial. Leaves pinnate. Flowers in terminal corymbose inflorescences. Corolla blue, campanulate or with a rotate limb; stamens exserted, all inserted at the same height on the corolla, the downward-curved, hairy bases of the filaments almost closing its throat. Capsule subglobose; seeds 4-14 in each loculus.
