Stems 40-80 cm, mostly twining, puberulent. Leaves 5-7 x 2-3 cm, ovate, long-acuminate; veins and margins pubescent. Petioles 10-15 mm. Cymes 5- to 7-flowered; peduncles 5-10 mm. Calyx-lobes ovate. Corolla 6-8 mm in diameter, dark purple; lobes ovate, with straight hairs on upper surface. Corona-membrane c. | as long as the segments, minutely toothed; lobes sessile. Follicles 5-7 x c. 0*8 cm, fusiform, glabrous. • S.W. Europe. BI Ga Hs It Lu [Ho].
