Tuber 2-3-5 cm in diameter, subglobose or depressed-globose, pubescent, rooting from base. Leaves (T2-)3-7 x (1-3—)3—7 cm, with or without marbling,

reniform or suborbicular, rarely broadly ovate, rounded or obtuse, rarely subacute; margins entire or obscurely undulate-denticulate. Corolla without auricles, magenta with a prominent, dark violet, pale-centred blotch at the base of each corolla-lobe; lobes 7-15 mm. Style very shortly exserted. Fruiting pedicel coiling from the apex. Flowering from January to April. S.E. Europe. Bu Rs (K) Tu.
