Shrubs or small trees with interpetiolar stipules often reduced to a ridge. Hairs stellate. Inflorescence cymose, capitate or a long panicle. Calyx campanulate. Corolla with a nearly cylindrical tube and patent limb. Stamens included or very shortly exserted. Capsule septicidal.
