Perennial with a tuberous root. Stems 15-40 cm, branched. Leaves 6-14 x 6 -9 cm, orbicular to ovate, serrate, hirsute. Bracteoles absent. Corolla 32-40 mm, whitish-pink; upper lip densely hairy inside; lower lip deflexed. Dry steppes. S.E. Russia, W. Kazakhstan. Rs (E). (W.C. Asia.)
