Pedicels not more than 7 mm. Calyx silvery, with numerous hooked hairs. Corolla-tube often shorter than calyx. Nutlets narrowly ovoid. 2«= 18, 20. S. Italy, Balkan peninsula.
Plants transitional to subsp. (d) occur in Italy.
