Indian records. South India — Korovchinsky (1998); Assam —Sharma B.K. & Sharma S. (2010).

Remarks. Kanduru (1981) reported a species under the name Diaphanosoma modigliani Richard from South India. According to Korovchinsky (1998) this is a record of D. tropicum .

Distribution. Valid species described from Sri Lanka ( Korovchinsky 1998).

Rare species from the tropics of Asia, from the Philippines to South India and Sri Lanka ( Korovchinsky 2004).
