Remarks. Valid species described from the United Kingdom ( Baird 1834). Populations worldwide need to be revised ( Sinev 2009).
Distribution. Smirnov (1971) discussed A. harpae as a cosmopolitan taxon, but in reality this is a complex of cryptic species. South American harpae -like poupaltions belong to a separate species, A. tupinamba ( Sinev & Elmoor-Loureiro, 2010) . Presence of A. harpae s.str. in any tropical regions is doubtful.
