Indian records. Rajasthan —Sharma V. et al. (2012) (as Dispearlona hamata ).
Remarks. Valid species described from Massachusets, U.S.A. ( Birge 1879). It is common in tropics and subtropics of Old and New world ( Smirnov 1996). Recently it has also been reported in Western Europe (as exotic species). Oriental populations probably compose a separate species ( Sinev & Sanoamuang 2011), and names are available (see previous record).
