(120) Disparalona rostrata ( Koch, 1841) View in CoL s.lat.
Indian records. Tripura —Venkataraman (1995b); General record— Raghunathan & Suresh Kumar (2003).
Remarks. Valid species described from Germany ( Koch 1841). Even in the Eastern Palaearctic, there is another D. rostrata -like taxon, characterized by having lateral expansions (“wings”) of the carapace (Kotov et al. 2011), therefore records of D. rostrata outside the Palaearctic should definitely be checked.
Distribution. Palaearctic ( Smirnov 1996), yet Idris (1983) depicted a D. rostrata -like species from the Oriental zone that should be investigated in more detail.
Disperalona caudata , misspelling, see Disparalona caudata
Dunhevedia crassa ciliocaudata (Sovinsky, 1891)
Indian records. Jammu & Kashmir— Brehm (1936); Maharashtra — Rane (2002, 2006); General record— Sharma B.K. & Michael (1987), Michael & Sharma B.K. (1988), Murugan et al. (1998), Raghunathan & Suresh Kumar (2003).
Remarks. Described from Ukraine (Sovinsky 1891). Preliminary, we list this subspecies here, although Smirnov (1996) did not mention it among the valid taxa. Real differences from D. crassa crassa King, 1853 are not studied in detail and the presence of “a tubercle-shaped convexity” on the labral keel, suggested as a diagnostic character (Michael & Sharma B.K. 1988), seems to be subjected to variability.
