Synonym: Xorides occidentalis Cresson, 1879 ( Rohwer 1920: 447) .
The species occurs exclusively in the Nearctic region being known from Canada and western part of USA (southwards to California and Arizona) ( Townes & Townes 1960: 392). Recorded as parasitoid of wood-boring Coleoptera in coniferous and deciduous trees: Melanophila drummondi (Kirby) (Buprestidae) , Atimia confusa dorsalis LeConte , Hylotrupes bajulus (L.), Semanotus ligneus (F.) and Tetropium velutinum LeConte (Cerambycidae) ( Rohwer 1920: 447; Townes 1944: 84; Carlson 1979: 352).
Distribution. Nearctic species; unknown from Mexico.
