The species occurs exclusively in the Nearctic region being known from Canada and northeastern part of USA ( Townes & Townes 1960: 394). Recorded as parasitoid of wood-boring Coleoptera in hardwoods, particularly in Carya spp. (Juglandaceae) : Dorcaschema nigrum (Say) , Saperda discoidea F., S. tridentata Olivier (Cerambycidae) ,? Scolytus quadrispinosus Say (Curculionidae) ( Townes 1944: 85; Bushing 1965: 481; Carlson 1979: 352).
Distribution. Nearctic species; unknown from Mexico.
