Krantzholaspis Petrova, 1967a: 51 . Type species Krantzholaspis ussuriensis Petrova, 1967a: 51 , by original designation. New synonymy.

Notes: Petrova (1967b) relegated Evansolaspis into synonymy with Gamasholaspis , and all subsequent authors have accepted that decision. The main diagnostic character state for Krantzholaspis was the presence of dorsal shield seta z1, which is absent in Gamasholaspis . Dorsal shield chaetotaxy varies within other genera of Parholaspididae , so the presence or absence of z1 is a very weak character that should not be used alone as diagnostic for a genus. Ma (2016) synonymised K. concavus Yin et al., 1999 with Gamasholaspis eothenomydis Gu, 1984 , and we here transfer the other two species of Krantzholaspis into Gamasholaspis , including the type species K. ussuriensis .
