COMMENTS: No type was designated in the original description. Later , Hartert (1920: 496) listed as type a male collected on Sula Besi in November 1897, the only November specimen from Sanana , thereby designating it the lectotype. Hartert’s type series comprised 14 specimens from Sanana and Mangoli islands and one specimen each from Peleng and Banggai in Kepulauan Banggai , only 9 of which, in addition to the lectotype, came to AMNH with the Rothschild Collection.
