HOLOTYPE: AMNH 605897 About AMNH , adult male, collected on Taiwan Island (5 Formosa), Taiwan, on 7 January 1866. From the collection of Robert Swinhoe via the Rothschild Collection.

COMMENTS: Swinhoe had a single specimen. In the original description he said that he received it on 31 January, but the collecting date is given as 7 January 1866 on his label.
