HOLOTYPE: AMNH 605993 , adult male, collected at P’ing-wu (5 Lungan), 32.25N, 104.36E ( USBGN, 1968b), Sichuan, China, on 24 April 1893 (Julian calendar, converted by Vaurie to 8 May, Gregorian calendar), by Berezowski. From the Rothschild Collection.

COMMENTS: Vaurie cited the AMNH number of the holotype in the original description. He gave measurements of 37 additional specimens from China (Yunnan, Sichuan, Gansu, Shaanxi), Tonkin, and Laos. Because Vaurie borrowed specimens for this study and they were not individually identified, it is not possible to identify the paratypes.
