HOLOTYPE: AMNH 599951 About AMNH , adult male, collected on the northwestern shores of Lake Tanganyika, near Baraka, 04.09S, 29.05E ( Times Atlas ), Congo (Kinshasa), on 14 August 1908, by Rudolf Grauer (no. 3233). From the Rothschild Collection. GoogleMaps

COMMENTS: Hartert gave Grauer’s unique field number of the holotype in the original description and said ( Hartert, 1920: 458) that he had 16 Grauer specimens in his type series, including the type. The 15 paratypes are: AMNH 599952–599966.
