DISTRIBUTION: S. and E. Nigeria; Cameroun; Bioko.
COMMENT: Considered a subspecies of cephus by Struhsaker, 1970:374-376; but also see Dandelot, 1974, Part 3:23.
PROTECTED STATUS: CITES - Appendix II as Order Primates and U.S. ESA - Endangered as C. erythrotis .
