TYPE LOCALITY: Zaire, Ikela zone, Yapatsi .

DISTRIBUTION: Known only from the type locality.

COMMENT: Not a subspecies of diana ; related to aethiops ; see Thys van den Audenaerde, 1977, Rev. Zool. Afr., 91: 1007, who also discussed the type locality (p. 1006).

PROTECTED STATUS: CITES - Appendix II as Order Primates .
