TYPE LOCALITY: Senegal .

DISTRIBUTION: Senegal to Ethiopia, south to South Africa and Angola. Perhaps Namibia.

COMMENT: Hill and Meester, 1977, Part 3.2:2, included granti in this species; but see Smithers and Wilson, 1979, Mus. Mem. Nat. Mus. Rhodesia, p. 1 -193. Probably contains more than one species (CPG).
