Measurement. Body length (including tegmen): ♂, 6.1–6.3 mm.

Description. Color pattern of anterior dorsum and face as in Figs.3, 4, 16–18. Body dark brown. Eyes russet. Ocelli pale red. Pronotum brown with prominent transverse wrinkles, with irregular black spots and dark brown longitudinal line posteromedially. Mesonotum and scutellum stramineous. Forewings yellowish-brown. Legs dark green. Width between eyes nearly 7 times median length of crown, coronal suture indistinct. Distance from ocellus from eye is about 2.2 times its diameter. Hind femur macrosetal formula 2+2+1 or 3+2+1.

Male genitalia. Pygofer side ship-shaped in lateral aspect with apex acutely angled ( Figs. 19 View FIGURES 16–26 ), with several macrosetae on caudo-dorsal margin and many short setae near caudo-ventral margin ( Figs. 20 View FIGURES 16–26 ). Subgenital plate short, apex rounded, with lateral marginal setae ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 16–26 ). Style long, apophysis approximately curved at right angle and narrowed gradually to apex ( Fig. 23 View FIGURES 16–26 ). Aedeagal apodeme indistinct in frontal view ( Fig. 21 View FIGURES 16–26 ). Aedeagus compressed, shaft slender in ventral aspect, apex slightly expanded and bilobed; in lateral view crescent-shaped, with 6 lateral spicules. Female unknown.

Remarks. The new species is similar to S. aspinus , but can be distinguished from the later by the pygofer with several macrosetae on caudo-dorsal margin and style narrowed gradually to apex.

Etymology. The new species name is derived from the Latin prefix “nigri-” (black) and word “maculatus” (maculated), referring to the irregular black markings on the pronotum.
