Description. Length: male 3.2–3.3 mm, female 2.8–3.1 mm.
Body ( Figs 1, 2 View FIGURES 1 – 16 ) slightly yellowish. Head ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 16 ) triangular. Vertex median length nearly the same as the width between the apex of eyes, coronal suture distinct, to the 1/3 of vertex. Crown slightly yellowish, front margin white, two white patches mesad of eyes. Pronotum yellowish, with several irregular white patches near front margin. Scutellum yellowish, two white longitudinal stripes centrally, side angle white. Face ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1 – 16 ) compressed in lateral view. Anteclypeus ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1 – 16 ) slender, lorum broad.
Forewing ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 1 – 16 ) slightly yellowish, with a small black spot on the basal part of the first apical cell, the fourth apical cell with a gray patch beside outer margin, the first apical cell nearly parallel with the second apical cell. Hindwing ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 1 – 16 ) semitransparent, anal vein branched.
Male abdomen ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 1 – 16 ) with apodemes of sternum II well developed. Pygofer ( Figs 9, 10, 15 View FIGURES 1 – 16 ) very slender, sclerotised, with short dorsal appendage, distal part of pygofer with transverse striations. Subgenital ( Figs 15 View FIGURES 1 – 16 ) triangular, greatly reduced and without setae. Paramere ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 1 – 16 ) strongly curved, two arms as long as each other. Aedeagus ( Figs 12, 13, 14 View FIGURES 1 – 16 ) with shaft moderately long, broader at base and narrowed to apex, with pair of processes arising subapically and extended distad but not surpassing shaft apex, gonopore apical.
Type material. Holotype, ♂, Luodian, Guizhou, April. 1980, coll. by Zizhong Li. Paratypes, 2♂♂, 3♀♀, same data as holotype.
Etymology. The species name refers to the pair of upturned processes on the aedeagus.
Remarks. The new species differs from all other species of this genus by the absence of teeth on the processes of the aedeagus, and the presence of a pygofer appendage.
