Microchelonuspyriformis Papp, 2010: 178 f, typelocality: Honduras, Yoro, PalodeComba, femaleholotype (+ onefemaleparatype) inZMLU, twofemaleparatypesinHNHM (fromCostaRica); examined.

Emendated features to the original description – f. Body 5–5.5 mm long. Penultimate flagellomere (1.8–)2.5–3 timesaslongasbroad ( Fig. 378 View Figs 374–384 ). Headindorsalview 1.9–2 times asbroadaslong, eye 1.3–1.4 timeslongerthantemple, templerounded, vertexandocciput transverselyrugose ( Fig. 379 View Figs 374–384 ). Eyeinlateralviewfairlynarrow, 2.5 timesashighaswide, genabeyondeyebroadeningsothatventrallyalmost 1.4 timeswiderthaneye (cf. Fig. 12 seearrows). Clypeus 1.6 timesaswidebelowashighmedially, ventrallyproduced ( Fig. 380 View Figs 374–384 ). Scutellumcarinate- formrugose (cf. Fig. 202), orlongitudinallyrugose. Hindfemur 2.6–2.8 timesaslongasbroad (cf. Fig. 375 View Figs 374–384 ). Forewing: pterostigma 2.7–2.9 timesaslong aswide, issuing r distallyfromitsmiddle, 1–R1 0.7 timesaslongaspterostigma, 3–SR abouttwicelongerthan r ( Fig. 381 View Figs 374–384 ). Carapaceindorsalviewpyriformbroadeningposteriorly, stronglystriated, interstriationscrenulated ( Fig. 382 View Figs 374–384 ). Carapaceinlateralview 2.7–2.8 timesaslongashighposteriorly, apicallytruncate ( Fig. 383 seearrows View Figs 374–384 ). Carapaceanterolaterallywithapairofyellowmaculae. Wingsbrownishfumous.

Maleandhostunknown.

Distribution – CostaRica, Honduras. luus Papp, 2010 (f, holotype): headindorsalviewwithindicationofitssculpture.

Taxonomicposition – Intheoriginaldescriptionof M. pyriformis isrelated to (Pappl.c.) aswellasinthekeytothefemale Microchelonus speciesitrunsto M. buscki (Viereck) andto M. buscki (Viereck) + M. effusus sp. n., seecouplets 38 (43) – 42 (41) and 113 (112) – 114 (115), respectively.
