Taxonomicemendation – Intheoriginaldescription ( PAPP 2010) thespecific characterof M. parkeri wasomitted: theshort, arcuatecarinulaonfronsnear tothecompoundeye (Fig. 6 inNAscimENto & PENtEAdo- DiAs 2011: 513; Fig. 335). Thisuniquetraitescapedmyattention – amistakeofmine. Consequentlythedescriberdoublesrightlyempasizedthisfeatureasspecificdistinction between M. murici and M. parkeri / M. cacumenus . In the key to female Microchelonus species (inthepresentpaper) thisisthefirstdistinctiveseparation between M. cacumenus versus M. parkeri , seekey-couplets 20 (21) – 21 (20).

Emendated features to the original description (Papp l.c.) – f. Body 3.4–3.8 mm long. Penultimatethreeflagellomerescubic, aslongasbroad (Fig. 336). Headindorsalviewless transverse, 1.7 timesasbroadaslong, eyeone- thirdlongerthantemple, latterstrongly rounded, vertexandocciputrugose (Fig. 335). Clypeusalmosttwiceaswidebelowashigh medially, itslowerpartlessproduced, mediallyweaklyconcave (Fig. 338 seearrow). Fore wing: pterostigma 2.3–2.4 timesaslongaswide, issuing r distallyfromitsmiddle, r short, 1– R1 0.7 timesaslongaspterostigma (Fig. 337). Carapaceindorsalview 2.2 times (holotype) and 2.4 times (fparatype) aslongasbroad (Figs 332, 334). Carapaceapico-ventrally incurved (Fig. 339). – m. Similartothefemale .

m. Similartothefemale. Body 3.2 mmlong. Antennaaslongashead, mesosomaand halfcarapacecombined. Forewing: pterostigma 2.5 timesaslongaswide. Apicalforamen ofcarapacemissing. Distribution – Brazil, CostaRica.

Taxonomicposition – Intheoriginaldescription (Pappl.c.) aswellasinthe keytofemale Microchelonus species M. parkeri isclosestto M. cacumenus Papp , seecouplets 19 (18) – 21 (20). Inthekeytothemale Microchelonus species M. parkeri standsalonewithinthespecies-group parkeri , seecouplet 1 (2) (maleis unknownfor M. cacumenus ).
