Distribution. Omalium rugatum is widely distributed in the Western Palaearctic Region, and known from North Africa ( Algeria), Europe and Western Asia ( Cyprus, Turkey) ( Schülke & Smetana 2015).

It is here recorded from south-western regions of Russia, Georgia and Iran for the first time.
