Description. Length of male 3.7–3.8 mm. Head with 4 black spots on anterior margin of crown relatively small; crown between eyes yellow with pair of large round orange spots; pronotum with two large orange areas bordered with white, median longitudinal white stripe complete, white area along posterior margin broad with pair of triangular anterior projections; scutellum pale orange with basolateral triangles brown and midline white ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 A). Male: Second sternal apodemes (2S) ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 B) reaching posterior margin of third segment. Pygofer ( Figs. 3 View FIGURE 3 C–D) with posterior margin produced, disc with row of 3 macrosetae and one macroseta on dorsal basal margin; dorsal process with apex clavate, ventral process directed caudo-dorsal, not exceeding apical margin of pygofer. Subgenital plate ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 E) with 6 macrosetae. Style ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 F) short with quadrangular preapical lobe. Aedeagus ( Figs. 3 View FIGURE 3 G–H) with dorsal apodeme bilobed; shaft tapered and curved dorsally towards apex, without process, dorsal margin with small hump near midlength, gonopore apical.
Material examined. Holotype male, ARGENTINA: Jujuy, P.N. Calilegua 1600m 23°41´1”S 64°54´0”W, 14– 16.i.2008 Dietrich et al col. Malaise trap [ MLP]. Paratypes: 1 male, same data as holotype [ INHS].
Etymology. The specific name refers to the lobed shape of the apex of the pygofer dorsal processes.
Notes. This species differs from all other congeners in having the aedeagus without processes.
