In the spermatozoon of Boehlkea fredcochui the ovoid nucleus measures 2.0 m in the longitudinal axis and 1.5 m in the transverse axis. The surrounding strip of cytoplasm has large and small vesicles ( Fig. 4 View Fig A-C). Nuclear rotation toward the flagellar axis is about 60 degrees ( Fig. 4 View Fig A-B). The midpiece has a conical shape and a length of about 1.6 m, and contains some elongate mitochondria ( Fig. 4 View Fig A-G). The endomembrane system is composed of larger vesicles connected to a clump of smaller vesicles with a lacy aspect ( Fig. 4 View Fig H-K).
