This species was known from Florida and South Carolina of USA ( Knudsen et al. 2011). Now, it is reported on the trunk of coconut tree in Long Island seashore of the Middle Andaman. It is characterized by the whitish to whitish grey, endophloeodal thallus; 0.2–0.5
mm diam., immersed to erumpent ascomata; I+ reddish, KI+ deep blue excipulum and hymenium; acicular, Patellarioides - type, 5–9(–13)-septate, 30–56(–60) × (2.5–)3–3.5 μm ascospores.
Specimens examined: — Middle Andaman , Long Island seashore, 12°21’82.5”N, 92°55’ 51.0”E, elev. 7 m, on Coconut trunk, 16 Mar. 2012, Jagadeesh Ram 1164 ( PBL); ibid., 19 Feb. 2013, Jagadeesh Ram 2441 ( PBL) .
