This pantropical species has been found as common in the seashore forests of the Andaman Islands. It is characterized by the straight to curved, 0.5–1.5(–3) mm long, 0.1–0.15 mm wide ascomata; I+ blue quickly turning orange-red hymenium; I+ persistently blue subhymenium and 7-septate, 32–44 × 5–6 µm ascospores.
