Type material. Holotype male from Ecuador, Pichincha Province, La Union del Toachi, Otongachi Natural Reserve (-00.330510 -78.934420) 1087m, 25 Feb. 2020, pitfall, N. Dupérré, I.G. Tapia, E.E. Etymology. The specific name is a non-Latin noun (invariable), taken from the Quechua language meaning small mountain, refering to the habitat.

Diagnosis. Males most resemble B. pristirana n. sp. but are distinguished by are straight fovea ( Fig. 51A View FIGURE 51 ), procurved in the latter ( Fig. 48A View FIGURE 48 ), tibia I without megaspine ( Fig. 51D View FIGURE 51 ) present in B. pristirana n. sp. ( Fig. 48D View FIGURE 48 ).

Description. Male (holotype): Total length: 2.90; carapace length: 1.56; carapace width: 1.36; carapace height: 0.78; abdomen length: 1.34. CEPHALOTHORAX: Carapace elongated hexagonal; margin sinuous; pars cephalica dark brown, reticulate; pars thoracica, lighter brown, reticulate; cephalic groove shallow, with pit medially; fovea broad, straight ( Fig. 51A View FIGURE 51 ); caput not strongly elevate ( Fig. 51C View FIGURE 51 ). Clypeus: 0.09. Sternum 1.04/0.86, orange-brown, strongly reticulate; sigillae oval ( Fig. 51B View FIGURE 51 ). Labium orange-brown; without cuspule. Endites quadrangle; orange-brown with seven cuspules; serrula not observed. Chelicerae dark reddish-brown; promargin five teeth and 14 denticles; rastrellum with 6–7 spines. EYES: AME: 0.08; ALE: 0.12; PLE: 0.08; PME: 0.04; interdistances: AME: 0.03; ALE-ALE: touching; PME: 0.14; PME-PLE: 0.02; LE: 0.02; ocular quadrangle: 0.41/0.42/0.19. ABDOMEN: Oval; dorsally beige with dark pattern consisting of two broken chevrons posterior half; ventrally uniformly beige ( Fig. 50A, B View FIGURE 50 ). Spinnerets: median spinnerets: 0.14; lateral spinnerets: 0.24/0.17/0.25. LEGS: Uniformly light brown. Coxae I–II without inner short stiff setae. Metatarsi I broader apically, with thin apical half scopulae; tarsi I–II with thin full scopulae ( Fig. 51D View FIGURE 51 ); Metatarsi II with thin apical half scopulae; leg III, IV without scopulae. Tarsal claw teeth (3/5) (3/7) (2/3) (3/4). LEGS MEASUREMENTS: I 4.98 (1.42/0.67/1.22/0.91/0.67); II 4.04 (1.2 1/0.51/0.94/0.76/0.62); III 3.14 (0.97/0.41/0.59/0.63/0.54); IV 4.58 (1.31/0.48/1.16/0.97/0.66); leg formula: 1423. LEGS SPINATION: femur I, II, III (0); IV 1-1-4d; patellae I, II, IV (0); III with 6pd; tibia I 1-2v; II 1v; 1vap; III 1p; 1d, 1v, 3vap; IV 1-2v, 2vap; metatarsus I (0); II 1-1; 1vap; III 1p, 1-2d, 3d; 2vap; 1r; IV 1-2v, 2vap; tarsus I–IV (0). GENITALIA: Palp measurements: 0.80/0.36/0.610.37; bulb: 0.34/0.15. Palpal tibia wider basally; cymbium with four spines apically ( Fig. 52A, B View FIGURE 52 ); bulb elongated with small constriction; embolus short and sinuous ( Fig. 52C–E View FIGURE 52 ).

Female: Unknown.

Distribution. Only found at the type locality in Pichincha Province, Ecuador.

Natural history. Specimens were collected by pitfalls trap in a low evergreen forest.
