Sturnidoecus husaini husaini Ansari, 1968
Sturnidoecus husaini Ansari, 1968: 6 , 33.
Current status: Buphagoecus husaini ( Ansari, 1968) ; Gustafsson & Bush 2017: 237, 259, 262, 366, 374, figs 427–433.
Type host: Buphagus africanus africanus Linnaeus.
Type locality: Isiolo, Kenya .
Type material: Syntypes (two males and one female) deposited in the NHML [slides NHML010694500 View Materials ; NHML010709952 View Materials ] from the Meinertzhagen collection, and designated by Ansari, (1968: 33) as “Type material”. However, these specimens are erroneously labelled as one “ HOLOTYPE ” male and two as “ PARATYPE ” each. Hence, Gustafsson & Bush (2017: 262) listed the three syntypes incorrectly . Non-type material (one male two females) listed by Ansari (1968: 33), also deposited in the NHML [slide NHML010709951 View Materials ] from the Meinertzhagen collection .
