Menacanthus gulabimaina Ansari, 1951
Menacanthus gulabimaina Ansari, 1951: 145 , figs 8a–e.
Current status: Menacanthus eurysternus ( Burmeister, 1838) ; Price 1975: 619, figs 1–9.
Type host: Pastor roseus (Linnaeus) .
Type locality: Faisalabad [as Lyallpur, Punjab], Pakistan .
Type material: Holotype female deposited in the NHML [slide NHML 010658175]. This slide contains two females, one of which is circled in black ink, presumably the holotype. The second female may be the paratype mentioned by Ansari (1951: 147), but this is not written on the slide label, and Ansari does not mention on which slide the female paratype is mounted. The allotype male, listed as mounted on a separate slide by Ansari (1951: 147), has not been found, and is presumed lost.
