Global distribution: NT.
Argentinian distribution: Río Negro, Santa Cruz.
Ecology: This species was found in ponds and lakes. It occurred in environments with temperature range from 6.6 to 17 °C, in alkaline waters (pH: 8.5–9.6) with electrical conductivity values ranging from 381 to 1234 μS/cm.
