Global distribution: NT.
Argentinian distribution: Buenos Aires.
Ecology: This species was recorded in temporary environments with abundant vegetation. It was found in wide temperature range (15–30 °C), with alkaline waters (pH: 8.3–10.1), electrical conductivity values ranging between 747 and 6930 μS/cm, and dissolved oxygen values from 8.4 to 12.4 mg /l.
