Description: Adultmale; colorinalcohol, darkbrown, antennayellow, forewings
lightbrown, dorsumofheaddark. Lengthfromtipofheadtoapexoffoldedwing 6.50 mm; Figs 1–10. Chimarra species , malegenitalia. 1–5 = C. dentata sp. n.: 1 = leftlateralview, 2 = dorsalview, 3 = ventralviewofrightinferiorappendage, 4 = phallusventralview, 5 = phallusleftlateralview. 6–10 = C. recurvata sp. n.: 6 = leftlateralview, 7 = dorsalview, 8 = ventralviewofrightinferiorappendage, 9 = phallusventralview, 10 = phalluslateralview. antenna 3.50 mm, maxillarypalpsabout 1.90 mm, lengthof 3rdsegmentofmaxillarypalps sub-equaltolengthof 5th, morethan 1.75 timeslengthof 2ndsegment; labialpalps 0.70 mmlong. Lengthofforewingsabout 5 mm; venation: Rscurved, thickened, discoidalcell about 2.5 timeslongerthanwide; crossvein m incloseproximityof s and r-m crossveins; 2Aobsolete, loopedto 1A; hindwingsbroad; 4 mmlong.
Malegenitalia (Figs 6–10) – TergumIXantero-dorsallyreduced, pointed; anterior marginconcave; producedantero-ventrally, postero-lateralmarginproduced; posteroventralprocesspresent. Preanalappendagessetose, semicircularinlateralview. Inferior appendageseach, slightlylongerthantergumX, inlateralviewdirectedpostero-dorsally, narrowatbase, wideninggraduallytowardsquadrateapex; inventralviewuniformly wide, somewhatcurvedmesadsub-apically. TergumXwithsclerotizedlaterallobesand separatemesallobes; eachlaterallobewedgeshaped, broadbasally, narrowingtowards pointedapex, withmanysensillainlateralview; indorsalviewdiverging, withsmall tooth- likestructureonlateralside, basallywideandserratealongoutermargin; mesallobe directeddorsally, basallybroad, pointedapicallyinlateralview; indorsalview, narrowat base, broadmedially, curvedoutwardapically. Phallobaseglobularandsclerotized. En- dothecatubular, loopingforwardsinventralview, lengthnotdiscernable, longspine- like structureapicallyonventralsideinlateralview, apairofcurvedspinesvisiblepreapically inventralview, neclace- likearrangementofsmallspinevisibleinventralview, apairof lateralspinesvisibleinventralview.
Diagnosis – Themalegenitaliaofthisspeciesissimilartothoseof Chimarranepalensis Kimmins, 1964. However, thenewspeciesisdistinguished byhavingsegmentIXmorestronglyproducedanteroventrallyandhaslong pointedpostventralprocess, sclerotizedlaterallobeoftergumXlong, diver- gentandwithsmalltooth- likestructureonthelateralmarginindorsalview distinguishthisspeciesfrom C. nepalensis .
Material – Holotypemale, India: Sikkim, Singhik , 1700 m, 12-v-2009, Pandher &
Parey (NPC). Paratypes: 2 males, 2 females, collectiondatasameasofholotype.
Distribution – India: Sikkim.
Etymology – Thespeciesnamepertainstoapicallyrecurvedinferiorappendagesin
ventralview.
