Scydmaenus (Mascarensia) pseudoinsularis Franz, 1975b: 284 View in CoL . Not as new, attributed to “m.”, in key and discussion only, not formally described but available; formal description in Franz, 1986: 362.

Scydmaenus (Mascarensia) pseudoinsularum Franz, 1986: 362 . As new; originally spelled peudoinsularum (p. 362) and pseudoinsularum (pp. 363, 392); latter deemed correct original spelling by First Reviser: Newton, 2017: 18. The same as S. pseudoinsularis Franz, 1975b: 284 View in CoL , the latter paper was supposed to be published after Franz, 1986, but was apparently delayed (see e.g., Jałoszyński, 2014: 11).
