Distribution: subtropics and tropics worldwide, S Europe; occasional migrant to Ireland, British Isles, S Scandinavia, Denmark, Baltic countries, The Netherlands, Belgium, C Europe, ( Slamka 2013); Turkey ( Koçak & Kemal 2018); Russia: Kaliningrad region, European part, Caucasus ( Poltavsky 2013; Sinev & Streltsov 2019); Ukraine: Khmelnytskyi ( Belke 1859a, b; Chranewytsch 1927), Kherson and Mykolaiv (Bidzilya et al. 2011) regions and Crimea ( Budashkin 2004), first records for Cherkasy and Odesa regions.
