DIAGNOSIS. Female (length about 2.2-2.6mm): antennal scape dark brown ( Fig. 1); scutellum uniform dull metallic dark green and purple; fore tibia dark brown in basal half, pale orange distally; mid femur dark brown; mid and hind tibiae dark brown proximally and pale orange in apical half; eye separated from occipital margin by about diameter of facet, occipital margin sharp at nearest point to eye; vertex with a broadly oval, shiny bottomed depression adjacent to eye, slightly smaller than diameter of posterior ocellus and a little behind it; frontovertex with inconspicuous, shallow, piliferous punctures; antenna ( Fig. 1) with pedicel a little more than 2X as long as broad, F1 subequal in length and width of pedicel and about 2X as long as broad; F6 about 1.3X as long as broad; flagellum slightly longer than head width; mid tibial spur about as long as basitarsus; fore wing with venation and distribution of setae as in Figs 1733, 1735; mesopleuron extending slightly past posterior margin of propodeum; propodeum with a short, truncate tooth posteriorly above hind coxa, area between tooth and spiracle convex not depressed; gaster at least about as long as head and thorax combined; syntergum at least about as long as mid tibia; hypopygium (Fig. 1738) with posterior margin quite strongly incised, the incised part about 0.75X mid tibial spur; ovipositor more than 1.5X as long as mid tibia, about 1.8X as long a syntergum and nearly 4X as long as gonostylus. Male (length about 1.8-2.0mm): antenna (Fig. 1737) with F1 at least about 2.5X as long as broad, slightly narrower than pedicel, at most with about 10 longitudinal sensilla, each of which is about 0.2X as long as segment; dorsal view of mesosoma Fig. 1736; aedeagus (Fig. 1734) with pores separated from apex by about 3X their own diameters, apex very acute; setae on each side of phallobase separated by at least about 2.5X the diameters of their own sockets.

DISTRIBUTION. Costa Rica.

HOSTS. Reared from galls formed by Trioza Förster magnoliae group ( Hemiptera : Triozidae ) on leaves of Cinnamomum hammelianum (W.C. Burger) ( Laurales : Lauraceae ) ( Noyes & Hanson, 1996).
