Espèce type: Centrantyx nitidus Valck Lucassen, 1935 .

Le sous-genre Nitidocentrantyx , se distingue par la bordure antérieure du clypéus sans élévation notable en son milieu, un pygidium non convexe, une coloration généralement vert brillant, et par une apophyse mésosternale relativement développée. Paramères avec un denticule dans leur partie distale.
