Additions to description. On head, sensilla pp distinct ( Fig. 32A), 3 µm long. Labral setae present ( Fig. 32B).

Seta rs simple, shorter than sr ( Fig. 32B). On galea ( Fig. 32C) digit O longer than M and I; M and I similar to each other in shape and length. Mandible with two apical and one subapical teeth ( Fig. 32D). On hind tarsus D2 and D4 spine-like, D4 slightly thicker than D2, but more slender than D5. Central lobe incised, but very weak and often invisible ( Fig. 32E). Male genitalis with long basiperiphallar setae. On abdominal tergite VIII ( Fig. 32F) P1a' with slight basal dilatation and anterior to P2; P2a linear, 7 µm long.

Remarks. In his original description, Imadaté (1994c) described P1a' on the abdominal tergite VIII as not basally dilated. Close examination of the holotype and other specimens revealed that the setae have a slight basal dilatation. In Larva II, P5 on the abdominal tergites II–III is anteriorly displaced, on the metanotumon being at the same level A4 ( Fig. 32G).

Distribution. Japan (Hokkaido and Honshu).
