In Brazil, it is known from the states of Pará, Mato Grosso, and Rondônia. Rondonops biscutatus is terrestrial and diurnal, inhabits seasonally flooded, terra firme, and riparian forests, where it is mainly found among leaf litter; one individual was collected on top of a termite nest at the side of a large tree, ca. 60 cm above the water (Colli et al. 2015). MAR-J collected some specimens in a logged terra firme forest in Novo Progresso, Pará.
