Haplogonatopus apicalis Perkins 1905: 39 . Type locality: Australia: Queensland, Bundaberg (♀ lectotype, BPBM). Description (♀ —not found in Iran). Apterous, length 2.1–3.7 mm. Color. Head yellow-testaceous; occasionally head brown or black, except yellow mandible, clypeus and anterior region frons; antenna brown, except yellow scape, pedicel and last flagellomere; mesosoma reddish or yellow-testaceous; petiole black; metasoma testaceous, or reddish, occasionally more or less darkened, or brown; legs yellow-testaceous. Head. Antenna clavate; antennomeres in following proportions: 19:11:22:12:10:10:10:10:10:19; head excavated, shiny, unsetose, granulate; occipital carina incomplete, shortly present on sides lateral ocelli; frontal line complete; POL = 5, OL = 5, OOL = 15; palpal formula 2/1. Mesosoma . Pronotum shiny, smooth, unsetose, unsculptured, not crossed by strong transverse impression; mesoscutum shiny, sculptured by some longitudinal keels; metapectal-propodeal complex shiny, unsculptured, except transverse striae on propodeal declivity; meso-metapleural suture obsolete; protarsomeres in following proportions: 10:2:3:7:11; enlarged claw ( Figs 2D View FIGURE 2 ) with one subapical tooth and 1 row of 3–6 lamellae; protarsomere 5 with two rows of 7–10 lamellae; distal apex with about 2–7 lamellae; tibial spurs 1/0/1.
Description (♂). Fully winged ( Figs 18E, 18H View FIGURE 18 ), length 2.0– 2.2 mm. Color. Head black, mandible yellow with darkened tip; antenna brown, occasionally with scape and pedicel yellow; mesosoma and metasoma black or brown; legs yellow. Head ( Figs 18 View FIGURE 18 A–18C). Antenna filiform; antennomeres in following proportions: 7:7:12:11:11:10:9:9:9:12; antennomere 3 more than four times as long as wide (about 4.0–4.5); head shiny, setose, weakly granulate; frontal line absent; occipital carina absent; POL = 9, OL = 3, OOL = 3, greatest breadth lateral ocelli longer than OOL (4:3); temple distinct; occiput concave; palpal formula 2/1. Mesosoma ( Figs 18 View FIGURE 18 D–18G, 19E). Mesoscutum setose, dull or shiny, granulate; mesoscutellum and metanotum shiny, setose, finely punctate; metapectal-propodeal complex reticulate rugose, without transverse or longitudinal keels; forewing hyaline, without dark transverse bands; tibial spurs 1/1/2. Genitalia ( Fig. 19A View FIGURE 19 , 20F View FIGURE 20 ). Dorsal process of paramere long, slender, distally broadened and serrate.

Azadi GoogleMaps ; 1 ♀ ( MOLC) , CHINA, Guangzhou, Guangzhou Botanical Garden , parasitized host collected 13. VI.2002, dryinid cocooning 15. VI.2002, dryinid adult emerged 26. VI.2002, Leg.: M. Olmi .
