SPECIMENS EXAMINED— BRAZIL, SÃO PAULO, Mogi Guaçu, Reserva Biológica de Mogi Guaçu , “Campinhinha” farm, on indetermined Apocynaceae , 20.VI.2017, III, A. Martins Junior & A.A. Carvalho Junior 245/17 ( RB 757101 ).

COMMENTS—This is the first record for the State of S ã o Paulo and the Cerrado biome. This species is usually identified as Puccinia rouliniae Henn. Lindquist (1982) , however, claims that this species and Puccinia balansae Speg. , are synonyms and therefore should prevail the latter name due to the principle of priority recommended in the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature.
